Lucky Lucky Lucky
I am lucky. Very lucky. I was born lucky. I start every day with this mantra. Why? Because I believe it and the alternative is to go around bemoaning everything in my life which I know will have a detrimental effect not only on my life but those around me.
I am in the middle of filming the new series of the SKY TV's show 'School of Hard Knocks' in Glasgow, and the unemployed young men we are working with are definitely not from such a privileged background as those of us in the cast and crew. However, I still ask them to think about how lucky they are and start to behave as if they are lucky. The reason I do this is simple; because, whatever you believe becomes your reality.
Over the past ten years, I feel privileged to have spent a considerable amount of time with Dr. Richard Bandler (co-creator of NLP) and he encapsulates my attitude in this assertion:
"Simply put, the meaning of life is the meaning you ascribe to it. What you believe is what you'll see, hear and feel; therefore it makes sense to pay special attention to the beliefs you hold."
