Get your Pitch on the Gaydar
I have been doing a lot of PR recently for The Pocket Pitching Bible and I am glad to say that it has been working rather well as the book is flying off Amazon’s virtual shelves.
I really enjoy speaking to journalists and radio and TV presenters as it is a time to put my pitching skills into action. I must admit that, unlike most of the people I observe promoting their products these days, I focus on a simple three-part goal. When promoting anything most other people I hear and read about just want to mention the product as often as possible. My simple focus is to get my message across, check that the audience understands it and, most importantly of all, connect and have fun with whoever is doing the interview.
I just did an interview about The Pocket Pitching Bible for Gaydar Radio and had such a warm, fun and positive experience with Neil Sexton and Debbie Ryan - the popular co-presenters of the morning show – that it felt like chatting to old friends. We quickly established a great rapport and the banter just flowed. If your ‘pitchdar’ is working properly, you can connect with anyone and make interviews a fun and enlightening experience for all concerned.
You can listen to the interview on Gaydar Radio this Saturday 28th July between 10am – 2pm.
