Eurograduate have asked me to write another blog post for them, so I thought you might like to see it here too.
One of the biggest privileges in my life is the fact that I work with so many smart, talented and charismatic people. Unfortunately, many people either don’t have the opportunity to surround themselves with good role models or simply don’t understand what a difference it can make to their lives.
With youth unemployment remaining over 20% as we entered 2013, the UK Government has announced the launch of a programme aimed at giving young people the skills they need to get jobs and apprenticeships. Skills such as CV writing and interview techniques have been identified as lacking amongst 16 to 24 year olds, as they struggle to sell themselves to prospective employers.
I am lucky. Very lucky. I was born lucky. I start every day with this mantra. Why? Because I believe it and the alternative is to go around bemoaning everything in my life which I know will have a detrimental effect not only on my life but those around me.
I'm supplying a series of guest blogs for the Financial Mail Women's Forum on the subject of career development.

This week I got the confirmation of the filming dates for the new series of School of Hard Knocks next February and March. I am excited to be filming yet another series of the critically acclaimed series. I am not only looking forward to the filming the series because of the prospect of changing more lives for the better and working with the amazing team of Scott Quinnell, Will Greenwood and Chris Chudleigh but also because of all the people behind the scenes like SOHK CEO Ken Cowen, Producer Luke Rosier and all the excellent crew.
I really love the Italians for their passion, and I equally loved my holidays in Italy when I was a child, so now I take my family there every year so that my son can grow up feeling the warmth of the culture.
I can't wait to enjoy that passion and warmth as I present at this years 'Seminario Intensivo', a 2 day workshop that brings together some of the best speakers in the personal performance field.
If you're planning to be there, why not drop me a line beforehand and let me know what you're most looking forward to?
